The Great Seal shown here is a beautiful re-creation of the original Seal that appeared on the Membership Roll of the Golden Dawn's Second Order, the R.R. et A.C. That Seal, created by Moina Mathers, can be seen on page 99 of R. A. Gilbert's book The Golden Dawn Scapbook.

It shows the figure of the Christos with arms outstretched in the Sign of Osiris Slain. He is enclosed within a hexagram and supported between the great Kerubic Archangels Sandalphon and Metatron, and placed between the great luminaries of the Sun and Moon. The sphere of Malkuth is at his feet, and the Crown of Kether is at his head. The rest of the Sephiroth are also shown on his body. The letter R and C, signifying the Order of the Red Rose and the Cross of Gold, is seen on either side of the figure. The whole is surrounded by the five elements, shown in their King Scale colors.

I'm sure many people have seen this beautiful graphic before. It is a featured piece of art on several different web sites. Unfortunately, these same web sites, which often cite copyright protection for all of their work on the Internet, rarely mention that they have picked up this particular piece of artwork from another web site, whose work is also protected under copyright laws. We seek to remedy this oversight by stating that this graphic is the original creative work of the Hermetic Fellowship web site, one of the best esoteric resources on the Internet.
